The Human Great Future Initiative

We are part of a community trying to get an optimistic message out there. “Progress” to us means making the world better support human values, a mission that technology should serve, not commandeer. Some claim that it is uncertain whether AGI will be good or bad for the average person, but we are actually confident saying that there is not much uncertainty: Without extreme world-wide regulation, it will be very bad for everyone. Now instead, imagine aligning humanity’s efforts towards a world full of nature and life, where human values are celebrated and pursued. This second situation is possible, and there is a community that is planting those seeds.

The HGF Substack is here to support that community. This Substack is currently being edited mainly by Tristan Sharp, PhD, bringing experience from high-tech start ups. The initiative has several projects that are in the works to help the Human Great Future cause, and we are recruiting. Follow here to see our progress for the people of the world.
